Let's Talk

Meet Amanda

Amanda is an experienced existential psychologist with over 15 years in the field, specializing in creating a safe and supportive space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings. Her empathetic approach helps guide individuals through personal struggles, fostering self-discovery and emotional resilience. Amanda is a UKCP and BACP  Psychotherapist who runs a successful clinic and psychotherapy college in Kent.

What is existential psychotherapy?

Existential therapy is a reflective, deeply human approach to therapy that helps people explore questions of meaning, identity, freedom, connection, and purpose. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or diagnoses, existential therapy invites you to examine how you relate to yourself, others, and the life you want to live.

Many people are drawn to existential therapy during periods of transition, uncertainty, loss, burnout, anxiety, or feeling “stuck.” Together, we explore the underlying patterns, fears, values, and choices that shape your experience, creating space for greater clarity, authenticity, and self-understanding.

Existential therapy is not about having all the answers. It is about developing a more honest and compassionate relationship with yourself, so you can move through life with greater meaning, agency, and emotional freedom.

Terms of Therapy  with Amanda

Existential psychotherapy is an explorative form of therapy that requires consistent and connected sessions, it does not work towards one specific goal, but instead focuses on an overall quality of life. Therefore, there are terms that need to be agreed before committing to this process with Amanda, they are as follow:

Length of contract

A minimum of 6 months of therapy will need to be agreed in advance.

Consistency

A minimum of 1 session (50 minutes) is required on a weekly basis.

Termination of therapy

Ongoing Support

Book Your Session Today

Taking the first step into therapy can feel significant, and the initial session is designed to offer a supportive, collaborative space to begin that process. Your first appointment is a one-hour consultation where we will explore what has brought you to therapy, discuss your current experiences and needs, and begin getting to know one another.

This session is an opportunity for you to ask questions, share as much or as little as feels comfortable, and gain a sense of whether the therapeutic relationship feels like the right fit for you. Together, we will consider what you hope to gain from therapy and how we might work together moving forward.
